Revaluation Re-Starting on Village of North Freedom Commercial/Residential Real Estate

Attention Village of North Freedom Commercial & Residential Property/Real Estate Owners:

In 2019, the Village of North Freedom had begun a revaluation of property assessment values.  Then due to the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, it had been postponed until it was considered “safe” for the homes to be inspected again.  The Village Assessor, Michael (Mike) Rogers, inspected approximately half of homes in the Village in the year 2019 leaving the remaining half to be done at a later date.

Some of you may receive correspondence and assessment visits from Mike in regards to re-assessing your property in this next month of July.  Directly following, after all inspections are completed and assessment values are determined, owners will be notified of the new value.  There will be an Open Book held – date and time TBD – at the North Freedom Community Center where owners may view the assessment roll.  After the Open Book, the Village Board of Review will convene at the North Freedom Community Center.  Again date and time TBD.  Notices will be published once dates and times are determined.

The Wisconsin Department of Revenue has a great reference guide (the link below) for owner references.  If you have any questions, please call the Village Office at 608-522-4550.  Thank you!
