Fireworks Permit

This is a polite reminder for residents. 🎆🎇
With the celebrations of the 4th of July Holiday almost here, residents who wish to light off fireworks within the Village limits must have obtained a valid Fireworks permit issued and approved by the Village Board. This is per Village of North Freedom Ordinance 9.05(4). https://vonf.wi.gov/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/CHAPTER-9-ORDINANCE-CONDUCT.pdf. The Village Board meets on the second Monday of every month. Residents wishing to obtain a permit must submit a request with the Clerk/Treasurer by the first Monday of every month with respect of the date of their event. For example: The Village Board will be meeting on Monday, July 11, 2022 next. “Jane Doe” would like to shoot off fireworks on Saturday, July 2, 2022. “Jane Doe” requested a Fireworks Permit on Monday, June 6, 2022 because the Village Board would not be meeting next until after the date of her event. If “Jane Doe” had her event on Saturday, July 16, Jane could request a Fireworks Permit on Monday, July 7, 2022.
We hope this helps for the future. This helps keep our nice Village a safe place.
Have a great Independence Day Holiday weekend!
