The Village of North Freedom holds a Brush, Leaves, Grass Clippings Clean-Up twice a year (Spring and Fall). It is announced in the Quarterly Newsletter (January, April, July, October) that goes out with the corresponding Water Utility Bill and posted as a separate post on our Social Media and Website. Owners can place their brush, leaves, grass clippings (grass clippings and leaves MUST be in bags) out on the curb and then the Public Works Department will collect it on the posted dates. Outside of those clean-ups, the responsibility of disposing those items falls on the owner (Village of North Freedom Ordinance 15.10(4)).
What About Christmas Trees? - The Village of North Freedom will hold 2 days in the month of January where owners who purchase real Christmas trees can place their tree out on the curb and the Public Works Department will dispose of them for the owner. If a tree is placed out on the curb after the posted days, it is the responsibility of the owner to dispose of it. Again, this information will be posted in the Quarterly Newsletter (January, April, July, October) that goes out with the corresponding Water Utility Bill and posted as a separate post on our Social Media and Website.
