Public Notice 10/27/2026 - Dumping at Lagoon

PUBLIC NOTICE 10/27/2026
EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY: There shall be no further public drop offs or unloading at the Village Lagoon or the Village Brush/Leaf Pile without prior authorization or direction from the Director of Public Works.
Sadly, this is due to increased land abuse and unauthorized, or, trash items being left out there in excess.
Furthermore, due to the on-going lagoon treatment, Village buildings, and DNR restrictions, the Village cannot allow unauthorized persons in the area.
The Lagoon will now be under 24-hour surveillance and persons abusing the land or leaving items without prior authorization or trash/unauthorized items will be prosecuted.
If you would like to dispose of leaves, brush, grass clippings, you will need to contact Director of Public Works, George Straubhaar, at 608-522-4522 EVERYTIME prior to unloading.
