With the warmer weather and Spring Cleaning starting. Please remember a few important tips about Refuse and Recycling.

Do - Place your bin on the curb

Don't - Place your bin in the street

Do - Place your brush, leaves/grass clippings (in bags)/etc. on the curb during the authorized pickup times

Don't - Place your brush, leaves/yard waste in your garbage bins

The Village of North Freedom picks up yard waste/leaves/brush/shrubs twice a year. One in the Spring and one in the Fall. Other times of the year it is the responsibility of the property owner/tenant to dispose of. Do not place it in your trash bins! Republic Services does not accept that!

The next Yard Cleaning event will be held 3 separate days in May - May 11, 18, 26, 2026. All items need to be out to the curb by 8:00 AM for pickup. Any placed after the deadline will not be picked up. See the picture for more information.

The Annual Spring Clean-Up Event, done by Republic Services, will be on Friday, May 22, 2026. See the picture for more information on what is accepted and prices per items. Special Item stickers need to be purchased through the Village Office.
